Launch Conference of the Project “Technical Assistance for Governance Reform in State-Owned Enterprises”

During the event, the partner institutions will present the project “Technical Assistance for Governance Reform in State-Owned Enterprises”. The project aims to digitalise information on the management of public property, to strengthen the capacity of the Public Property Agency (PPA) to apply the principles of good governance in state-owned enterprises, to improve the PPA’s communication with the public on this sector and the related reforms, and to improve the legal and institutional framework in order to strengthen corporate governance in line with IMF recommendations.

The main activities to be carried out under the project are: digitalising the registers containing information on public property, updating and improving the PPA website, developing the State Policy on public property, establishing official mandates for state-owned enterprises, improving the legislation on the activity of state-owned enterprises in line with IMF recommendations, and providing support to state-owned enterprises in putting into practice the Codes of Good Governance and internal control requirements, in line with the best corporate governance practices.

The event will also include the signing ceremony of the cooperation memorandum between the 3 partner institutions.
