The Journey on the “Money Trail” Continues, Now in Its Third Edition

People who want to learn more about the world of finance and make sound financial decisions are invited on 29 October to the third edition of the financial education event “Money Trail” (“Drumul banilor”). It will take place online on the occasion of World Savings Day and will be hosted by the National Bank of Moldova and the Independent Think Tank “Expert-Grup”, as part of their joint project “Make Sense of Money” (“Dă sens banilor”).

“The era of digitalisation and globalisation brings into our homes and thoughts the need for modernity, perspective, change and innovation. This is what defines the constant evolution of financial products and of the financial sector in general, and it demands from us an ever stronger commitment to taking a stance and making decisions on the path of financial inclusion”, says the Governor of the National Bank, Octavian Armașu.

Thus, participants in the event will be able to discuss this subject with the organisers, reflect, and receive answers to burning questions. They will find out where money comes from and how it enters circulation, what its security features are and how to recognise them. They will also talk about concepts such as savings and financial instruments, and learn what they need to know in order to make an investment or take out a loan.

Those wishing to sign up for these activities, starting from the age of 16, can submit their applications by completing the short form below by 28 October 2021, 18:00.

“Make Sense of Money” is a financial education project launched in March 2019 by the National Bank of Moldova (NBM) and the Independent Think Tank “Expert-Grup”. The project aims to increase young people’s understanding of the main financial concepts and products, to support them in managing their own income properly and in making well-informed financial decisions.
