Round Table: Options for Implementing the Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Area in the Transnistrian Region

The Independent Think Tank “Expert-Grup” is organising the round table “Options for Implementing the Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Area in the Transnistrian Region”. The event will take place on 14 March 2013, from 10:00 to 11:30, in the Conference Hall of the Jolly Alon Hotel (address: Chișinău, 37 Maria Cebotari St.).
The main objective of the round table is to discuss the findings of the policy brief “Transnistria and the Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Area: Does the small log overturn the big cart?”, authored by Valeriu Prohnițchi and Adrian Lupușor. The publication analyses the potential impact of the Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Area on the Transnistrian region, as well as on relations between Chișinău and Tiraspol. The study identifies and assesses the options available to the Republic of Moldova and the European Union in the event that the Transnistrian authorities refuse to implement the provisions of the DCFTA, at least at the first stage.
