Expert-Grup and the National Bank of Moldova Invite Pupils and Students on a Journey along the “Money Trail”

The journey starts at the National Bank of Moldova, the sole institution entitled to issue banknotes and coins. In its exhibition hall, visitors will learn about key events in the history of the Moldovan leu and the security features of banknotes. The trail then continues to commercial banks, where young people will learn how banks work, how money reaches them and then enters the real economy, and will attend a financial education lesson on the main concepts and products on the domestic market.

Visits start at 13:00 to avoid disrupting studies, and access is by pre-arranged lists. Pupils under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Requests must be sent by 25 October 2019, 4 p.m., to educatie.financiara@bnm.md or via Facebook. The event is part of the financial education project “Învață! Dă sens banilor”, launched in March 2019 to help young people make sound decisions about managing their income.
