Expert-Grup announces the selection of schools to benefit from the “My School” initiative for 2018

Project coordinator Ana Popa said the fifth and last year of implementation is open to all schools, regardless of the number of pupils, their location or their previous openness to budget transparency. She noted that the number of interested schools grows every year, as do stories of regional coalitions and successful partnerships.

Schools supported in 2014–2016 raised significant extra-budgetary resources and built functional coalitions between school management and local and district authorities. Over four years, the project directly involved about 10 thousand people from 27 districts and municipalities in discussions on school budgets, and 80 schools received assistance. The deadline is 30 November 2017, 17:00. The initiative is supported by the World Bank’s Global Partnership for Social Accountability and the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research.
