National Bank of Moldova and Expert-Grup Launch the First Nationwide Financial Education Project: “Learn! Make Sense of Money”

The project will produce informative materials, explained in simple language, on the events with the greatest financial impact in a person’s life. Training sessions and activities to promote the materials are also planned, so that as many people as possible can benefit.

Octavian Armașu, Governor of the National Bank of Moldova, said financial education should help build a solid financial system in which consumers are protected, educated and make responsible decisions. Adrian Lupușor, Executive Director of Expert-Grup, said higher financial literacy would improve personal finance management and financial stability. The project targets adolescents and young people, start-up entrepreneurs and employed people, while also taking into account other groups that actively interact with the financial system. It will run for one year.
