We Declare a Boycott of the Media Outlet Pro TV Chișinău for Defying the Code of Ethics

The signatory organisations will not send press releases, information about their products or invitations to their events to Pro TV Chișinău. They ask the Audiovisual Coordinating Council and the Press Council to respond appropriately. They also recommend that the broadcaster adjust its internal rules to prevent similar breaches, sanction those responsible for the incident and repair the harm caused to the person featured in the report.

The boycott will continue until Pro TV Chișinău offers a proper public apology and makes amends. The signatories also urge other public, governmental and non-governmental institutions, independent experts and analysts to join, in order to promote respect for human dignity, honour and common decency in Moldovan society. The signatories include Expert-Grup, Amnesty International, Transparency International and PROMO-LEX, among many others.
