Cookie policy
Updated: October 2026
This policy explains which cookies and similar technologies expert-grup.org uses, what they are for, how long they are kept and how you can control your choices. It complements the Privacy policy.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website saves in your browser. Websites can also keep information in the browser’s storage (localStorage and sessionStorage). In this policy we call all of them “cookies”.
2. Which cookies we use
Necessary (always on)
Without them the site cannot remember your cookie choice or work properly. They do not require your consent and are not used to track you.
| Name | What it does | Duration |
|---|---|---|
eg-consent | Remembers whether you accepted or rejected analytics cookies | 1 year |
eg-cookie-consent (browser storage) | The same choice, with the date you made it | until you clear it in your browser |
| view marker (tab storage) | Makes sure a visit is counted only once in the anonymous view counter | until you close the tab |
For the Expert-Grup team only
These are set only when a team member logs in to the admin panel. Regular visitors never receive them.
| Name | What it does | Duration |
|---|---|---|
sb-expert-grup-auth-token | Login session in the admin panel | until logout |
__prerender_bypass | Preview of pages not yet published | until you close the browser |
Analytics (only if you click “Accept”)
They help us learn, in aggregate, how many people visit, which pages and publications are read and where visitors come from. They are set by Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Ltd.) and load only after you consent: if you click “Reject”, the Google Analytics script is not loaded at all and nothing is sent to Google or Meta.
| Name | What it does | Duration |
|---|---|---|
_ga | Distinguishes visitors with a random identifier | 2 years |
_ga_X2KC7ELWDY | Keeps the session state for statistics | 2 years |
Marketing (only if you click “Accept”)
They help us measure the results of our Facebook and Instagram campaigns. They are set by Meta Pixel (Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd.) and also load only after you consent. Meta may link the visit to your Facebook or Instagram account, under its own privacy policy.
| Name | What it does | Duration |
|---|---|---|
_fbp | Browser identifier for measuring Meta campaigns | 3 months |
3. Content from other services
Some pages include embedded content: YouTube videos (in privacy-enhanced mode) and Vimeo videos, interactive Infogram, Datawrapper or Flourish charts and the Google Maps map on the contact page. The map and the videos load only after you click on them; until then nothing is sent to Google or Vimeo. Once you start them, as with the interactive charts (which load with the page), these services may set their own cookies, controlled by those providers under their own policies:
- Google (YouTube, Google Maps): policies.google.com/technologies/cookies;
- Vimeo: vimeo.com/cookie_policy.
4. How to control your choice
On your first visit, the cookie banner asks for your consent to analytics and marketing cookies. You can change your choice at any time with the “Cookie settings” link in the footer of every page; if you withdraw consent, Google Analytics and Meta Pixel stop immediately.
You can also delete or block cookies in your browser settings (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge). If you also block the necessary cookies, the banner will appear again on every visit.
5. Changes and contact
We update this policy when we change the services we use; the date of the last update is shown under the title. For questions, write to info@expert-grup.org.
