Request for Quotations – Simultaneous Interpretation Services
The Independent Think Tank “Expert-Grup” announces a competition to build a database of interpreters, legal entities, to provide simultaneous interpretation services from Romanian into English and vice versa, as well as from Russian into Romanian and vice versa.
Field and terminology used: economic, social, public policy.
To become familiar with the terminology, bidders are encouraged to visit the website expert-grup.org to learn about the activity of Expert-Grup and the nature of the materials published and events held.
The selected companies will be included in the roster of service providers for simultaneous interpretation from Romanian into English and vice versa, and from Romanian into Russian and vice versa. The services will be requested as needed, depending on the activities and projects carried out by Expert-Grup.
Minimum requirements for bidders:
- At least 3 years of progressive experience providing simultaneous interpretation services from Romanian into English, Russian-Romanian and vice versa at government and international organisation level, public events, etc.;
- Familiarity with and understanding of legal and macroeconomic terminology (previous experience with such interpretation).
The application package will include:
- CVs of the interpreters the company works with, indicating previous experience;
- Materials demonstrating the candidate’s previous experience (links to events, etc.);
- Extract from the register.
Financial offer in EUR (net). Please indicate the price for half a day (4 hours) and the price for one day (8 hours).

Working language: Romanian – English and vice versa

- Price for 8 hours at the standard rate;
- Indicate the maximum number of hours of simultaneous interpretation that can be provided in one day.

- Price for 4 hours at the standard rate;
- Price for 8 hours at the standard rate;
- Indicate the maximum number of hours of simultaneous interpretation that can be provided in one day.
Bid evaluation criteria:
The submitted applications will be evaluated by the selection committee according to the following criteria:
- At least 3 years of progressive experience providing simultaneous interpretation services from Romanian-English-English or Russian-Romanian-Russian at government and international organisation level;
- Familiarity with and understanding of legal and macroeconomic terminology (previous experience with such interpretation);
- Evaluation of the financial offer.
