Deadline extended: Call for expressions of interest for journalists and active citizens from the regions of the Republic of Moldova interested in budget monitoring and political clientelism

The purpose of this call is to involve active people from the regions in the process of monitoring the use of public money. The monitoring may cover the budget process at the level of local communities, in order to ensure a better identification of funding priorities, the detection of money allocated on political grounds from local or central budgets, and the correctness of public procurement.

The selected candidates will be responsible for implementing the following activities at local level:

• carrying out 1-2 analyses or brief investigations of local budgets and presenting the data and messages that will serve as the basis for developing an infographic (with methodological support from Expert-Grup);
• publishing the analyses and investigations in the local or national press.

Who can apply?

Any person from the regions with an active civic stance, with writing and analytical skills, who is interested in the topics mentioned above.

Implementation period

February– March 2019

Interested persons are invited to send their CV to  iulia@expert-grup.org , by 8 February 2019, 19:00. Remuneration for the activities to be carried out will be discussed during the selection interview. Candidates will be selected on the basis of a CV review, followed by an interview. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
