The Three Zones of Moldova, North, South and Centre, Presented Promising Projects to Funders

The Independent Think Tank “Expert-Grup” organised three closing round tables for the project “Supporting Regional Development in Moldova: an opportunity to stimulate the development of civil society”.
The Independent Think Tank “Expert-Grup” is involved in a project whose aim is to develop the capacities of local NGOs by equipping non-governmental institutions with the skills to prepare and present regional development projects, thus contributing to the support and development of the non-governmental sector and civil society in Moldova.
Accordingly, 15 people were selected from different regions of Moldova: North, South and Centre, and were trained to develop their project-writing skills. To this end, for the effective implementation of the project, workshops were organised based on the identification, planning and implementation of regional development projects. In addition, a working visit was organised during which the participants had the opportunity to communicate directly with the authors of regional development projects (including economic and social development, ecology and agriculture) from the Czech Republic. An important stage of the project was the development of their own regional development projects, working with local actors interested in this subject and guided by CzechINVENT experts. This stage was in turn followed by a second workshop focused on presentation skills, writing project proposals and promoting them effectively.
The draft has now reached the final stage, which has already taken place in two of the development regions of the Republic of Moldova (North – in the city of Bălţi, on 28 November; South – in the city of Cimişlia, on 29 November; and today, 30 November, in the city of Chişinău), through which the participants had the opportunity to present their own regional development projects and discuss them with the regional actors interested in these projects. The round tables also served as platforms for discussing action plans on regional development.
The project is implemented by the Independent Think Tank “Expert-Grup” and the CzechINVENT Technology Agency, with financial support from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic and the Soros Foundation under the East-East: Partnership Beyond Borders programme.)
