Final Conference: Contribution of Civil Society and the Private Sector to Implementing the Millennium Development Goals

The conference is structured in 8 discussion panels focused on the priority areas identified during the public consultation process:

The conference is held within the project “Contribution of Civil Society and the Private Sector to Implementing the Millennium Development Goals”, implemented with the financial support of the European Union. The main objective of this project is to reduce poverty in the context of sustainable development, including pursuing the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) and other internationally agreed goals. The project analysed the contributions of Moldovan civil society organisations and the private sector to implementing the MDGs in areas such as education, health, economic development, social policies, transport, communications, customs and youth policies. The project improved the level of awareness among the Government, NGOs, the private sector and citizens about the importance of achieving the MDG targets by the end of 2015 and strengthened the capacities of NGOs and private companies to contribute to implementing the MDGs.
