A Virtual Journey along the “Path of Money” on World Savings Day

The National Bank of Moldova (BNM) announces the second annual edition of the financial education activities launched under the project “Learn. Make Sense of Money” in partnership with the Independent Think Tank “Expert-Grup”, to be held on 29-30 October. The event will take place under the title “The Path of Money” on the occasion of World Savings Day and is aimed at young people aged 16 and over who want to integrate naturally and actively into the modern world

This year, participants will set off on a virtual journey (online, on the Zoom.us platform) in which they will learn many interesting things about the “path of money” towards the real economy, cashless payment instruments and curiosities about their use in Moldova and abroad. They will also find out how money enters circulation and what the security features of the national currency are. Together with the organisers of the event, the young people will reflect on the national financial system and discuss what savings and credit instruments are.

In addition, participants will be able to review their knowledge - the sessions planned for the two days will end with an assessment contest, and the winners will be awarded numismatic sets.

Those wishing to register for these financial education activities can submit their applications by filling in this form by Wednesday, 28 October 2020, 18:00.

“Make Sense of Money” is a financial education project launched in March 2019 by the National Bank of Moldova and Expert-Grup. The project was initiated with the aim of increasing young people's understanding of the main financial concepts and products, so that, when faced with situations with a financial impact, they make the right decisions in managing their own income.
