The Republic of Moldova committed to implement the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, which includes its integration in the national strategic planning system, initiated by drafting the National Development Strategy „Moldova 2030” (NDS) and approval of a new regulation on public policy documents (Government Decision 356/2020). To facilitate understanding and implementation of al above-mentioned documents by a detailed how-to, a Methodological guideline for the integration of the National Development Strategy “Moldova 2030” provisions in planning documents, public policies and normative documents at the national level was developed in the first half of 2021.

About the project: The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH implements on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) the project “Support to the Moldovan Government in the Implementation of the 2030 Agenda”. The objective is to improve the capacities and processes for implementing the 2030 Agenda. In order to achieve the objective, the GIZ Project is implemented through a series of cross-cutting outputs, one of them aiming to improve the capacities and processes for integrating the National Development Strategy “Moldova 2030” in selected sectors at the national and regional level.
Anticorruption Certification Academic Course in Moldova

The project scope is to increase the level of information, awareness and capacities of young professionals and decision makers about the phenomenon of corruption and measures to diminish corruption risks and consequences in all economic sectors, by means of an academic certification course integrated into the curriculum of the Academy of Economic Studies of Moldova and open to young professionals from the public sector, financial sector and board members of the state-owned enterprises.

Fostering the corporate governance in the state owned enterprises

The project will support the efforts of the Public Property Agency to increase the transparency and corporate governance in the state owned enterprises sector in Moldova by providing support to develop the Institutional Development Strategy, build the capacities of board representatives from a group of SOEs selected for this project, strengthening the corporate governance and increase the transparency level in the above-mentioned SOEs.
