Terms and conditions

These terms set out the rules for using expert-grup.org (“the site”), run by the Public Association “Independent Think-Tank Expert-Grup” (“Expert-Grup”, “we”), IDNO 1011620002685, 3 Vlaicu Pârcălab St., Chișinău, MD-2009, Republic of Moldova.

1. Acceptance of the terms

By using the site, you accept these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site. How we process personal data is described in the Privacy policy and the Cookie policy.

2. About the content

Expert-Grup is an independent think tank. The studies, reports, policy briefs, articles, infographics and videos on the site are published to inform the public, decision-makers, researchers and the media.

The analyses reflect the views of their authors and of Expert-Grup at the date of publication. They do not necessarily represent the position of the partners or donors that supported a project and do not constitute legal, financial or investment advice. Decisions taken on their basis are the responsibility of those who take them.

We strive to keep the information accurate and up to date, but statistical data get revised and many materials reflect the situation at the time they were published. The content is therefore provided “as is”, without any guarantee that it is complete or current when you consult it.

3. Copyright and use of our materials

The content of the site (texts, publications, processed data, charts, infographics, photos, videos, the logo and visual identity) belongs to Expert-Grup or to the partners who allowed us to use it, and is protected by copyright law.

Without asking our permission, you may:

• quote excerpts from our materials, clearly citing the source: the author, the title, “Expert-Grup” and, online, a link to the page of the material;
• share links to the site’s pages and publications;
• download publications for personal, study, research or journalistic use.

You need our written consent to reproduce a publication in full, translate it, republish it on another site or use our materials commercially. To ask for it, write to info@expert-grup.org.

The logos of partners and donors, as well as third-party materials (for example agency photos), belong to their owners and may not be used separately without their consent.

4. Fair use of the site

Please do not use the site in ways that may harm its operation or security, for example:

• attempts to gain unauthorised access to the admin panel, the server or other people’s data;
• automated mass downloading of content (by bots or scripts) at a rate that overloads the server;
• sending automated, promotional, misleading or illegal messages through the forms.

We may block access from addresses that break these rules.

5. Newsletter, forms and events

Subscribing to the newsletter and registering for events are free and voluntary. Please provide accurate information. We reserve the right to limit the number of participants in an event, to change its programme or to cancel it, in which case we will inform those registered.

6. Third-party links and content

The site contains links to and embedded content from third parties, such as YouTube, Vimeo, Google Maps or our partners’ websites. We do not control these sites and are not responsible for their content or policies.

7. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Expert-Grup is not liable for direct or indirect damage resulting from the use of the site or of the information published on it, from temporary unavailability of the site or from errors or omissions in the content. We make reasonable efforts to keep the site available and secure, but cannot guarantee that it will work without interruption.

8. Applicable law

These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Moldova. We will first try to settle any dispute amicably; if that fails, it will be settled by the competent courts of Chișinău.

9. Changes

We may update these terms. The version in force is the one published on this page, and the date of the last update is shown under the title.
