Press Club “Solutions for Boosting the Economic Growth of the Republic of Moldova”

The economy of the Republic of Moldova has entered recession, with two consecutive quarters of annual GDP decline. According to 2024 data published by the National Bureau of Statistics, the economy is stagnating, following a similar year in 2023, without any real recovery after the deep recession of 2022. In this context, it is becoming urgent to develop a new economic growth model based on higher value added.

We will hold a constructive discussion on the solutions needed to boost the economic growth of the Republic of Moldova, in which we will analyse the solutions needed to restore and accelerate economic growth. The discussions will address macroeconomic priorities, the effectiveness of financial support instruments, the role of agriculture and industry, as well as the measures needed for a more dynamic and inclusive labour market. Ways will also be explored in which the resources of the country's Economic Growth Plan, recently adopted in the plenary of the Parliament in Strasbourg, can be channelled towards economic activities that add value, process local raw materials, integrate advanced technologies into production and implement European standards.

The event will offer a clear, data-based discussion platform to outline the necessary directions for action. We invite you and look forward to your participation in this debate on subjects important for the economic future of the Republic of Moldova.
